What do we require?
Alarm dealers coming into our dealer network agree to use our partner central station(s) as their primary monitoring station. You agree that customers signing up with you for monitoring through our security dealer network be charged our base rate of $17.95*. Your base rate can be less, but not more for basic monitoring for customers coming to you through our promotions. Dealers not offering customers monitoring at $17.95 can still use our dealer services as a client member - see Client Member below)
*Dealers: If you do not wish to offer $17.95 monitoring or participate in our Internet marketing, you can come into our group and partner central station as a client dealer. As a client dealer, you can use our discounted monitoring services, but will not be listed on our large group of Websites for security monitoring. You can participate in our GPS and Med-Alert websites if you like...
Why join the AlarmTech / SmartMonitoring group?
AlarmTech.org is just one part of the Security dealer network (SDN) from RGS Technologies. SmartMonitoring associates and partners are here to help the smaller security independent dealers compete against the large corporations and their "mass marketing" strategy. By utilizing the Internet, we can provide a community where alarm dealers and the public can interact with each other.
Why use our partner Central Stations?
Central stations partnering with us will provide us with state-of-the-art monitoring servvices including web based access for customers and security dealers (Through our two main sites and also through MyMonitoring.com under development ). We have worked out special pricing arrangements with the central stations that we partner with. Alarm dealers and associates can save between $.50-$3.00+ per month on each account by joining our group. You will not only save money on basic monitoring, but also on other services that our partner central station(s) offer. As a subsciber to our central stations through our dealer program, you will be getting as strong internet exposure and all leads coming into our group of websites.
Find new customers
For the public, SmartMonitoring will be a (mini) portal on the Internet where customers can find help, information and resources for security services, loss prevention, medical alert systems and GPS monitoring. We offer customers coming to our group of Web sites affordable alarm monitoring (basic@ $17.95*) and security services from our network of independent dealers. We will attract a large group of customers who have gone with the larger corporations and are tired of paying $28+mo. for what we do at under $18.00.
For the dealer, this will be an area where you can interact with the public by providing answers in the help forums and providing security services to new customers who find you through our Internet marketing program.
Dealers will be listed on our main Web sites and a large group of security related domains (Many of our sites are keywords for search engines: Sites under development include AlarmQuotes.com, NationwideMonitoring.com, NationalAlarmService.com Etc...) We will soon have up to 100+ satellite Web sites on the Internet. We are starting to get high listing on the search engines for certain keywords (depending on keywords and search engine). We receive several requests per week for dealers even though we have not activly started promoting our services!
We are looking to offer business services and security products on several of our Websites and through retail outfits. Dealers that want to be involved can sell through these sites with a small percentage going to our company. We are looking into offering affiliate programs on the Internet with the monitoring and service being given to our associate dealers. Retailers partnering with us that sell our security products will look to us for service and monitoring. All customers looking for security services and monitoring through our Websites will be directed to our associates.
Dealer Benefits:
With our group, you will not give up any control of your business. You can think of our group as more of a loose knit FirstAlert type organization. Companies joining the SmartMonitoring group are considered members of a select group of security professionals banding together to get group rates on products and services, while building up your business through our association with the public.
Membership:
Client Member: (Dealers not looking to offer $17.95 monitoring)
Dealers using Central Station Services only. There is no membership fee for coming in to our partner central station through our group. Client members will have access to all our discounted monitoring services, but will not be listed on any Websites or listed in any web promotions featuring $17.95 alarm monitoring. Client members can be listed in other promotions provided that the member offers the prices/services listed on our websites for that promotion. All companies must have insurance, be bonded and licensed if necessary along with 3+ years experience in the security and alarm industries.
Regular Member:
All dealers coming into our select group of Central Stations through The SmartMonitoring Group are automatically a SmartMonitoring member and will get listings in several of our basic domains at no charge. Members will also get access to all special pricing and discounts from our suppliers and partners. Dealers will also get leads coming into the Central Station through the SmartMonitoring Network. Members can offer basic business services. All companies must have insurance, be bonded and licensed if necessary along with 3+ years experience in the security and alarm industries.
Associate Member: Dealers with more than 100 accounts online (available after 1/1/04)
Regular members with over 100 accounts can apply to become an affiliate (or associate) members after January 2004. Affiliate members will be listed on additional Web sites offering medical monitoring, Internet Monitoring, Remote Video, GPS and GPS Tracking Services. Affiliates will also get first choice of all leads from their area coming into the Central Station through the SmartMonitoring Network. For more than one dealer in an area, leads will be rotated. Affiliates will be given Web space and a 3rd level domain (yoursite.smartmonitoring.com if they wish) on special select Websites that will be sponsored in several search engines. Affiliates will also be able to participate in special dealer programs not available to regular members alongside our partners.
We can offer interested affiliate dealers low-cost E-commerce. We will charge interested dealers a one time setup fee to cover security certificates (SSL) and custom scripting (if needed) for your domains. We will supply the templates and the shopping carts. You supply a merchant account. You can have potential customers buying equipment, services and monitoring through your Web site and charge them installation when installed...
There are a lot of "Dealer Programs" on the Internet (most run by central stations) that will give you listings on 1-2 Website with no promotion. We are not a Central Station, nor do we plan on becoming one. We will not buy or sell accounts, but we can try to match buyers with sellers. We are a true dealer program with no hidden agenda. We will make our income from the public coming into our sites and buying products and services from from your company. Dealers must agree to follow our guidelines of professional conduct. On all business acquired thorough SmartMonitoring, you agree to use our approved Central Stations and to charge the prices for monitoring we have listed on the Website (except client members). For affiliates, if you wish to join in on our Internet specials, you also agree to charge the posted prices on select equipment, and any specials on equipment and/or services that we list on the Internet.
SmartMonitoring is in negotiations with select companies that will give us special pricing on specialized monitoring and security related services that you can offer as part of your regular security offerings (home arrest, GPS, background and credit checks, drug screening, etc..). We will soon be approaching large retail and Internet companies that may be looking to offer security services. By partnering with a network of security professionals like us, they have access to monitoring services and technical support for their customer base.
